Finance Assistant Vacancy

Little Common School is a large well resourced primary school on the outskirts of Bexhill.  We are a friendly and supportive school full of children who love to learn and a staff team who enjoy sharing skills and learning new methods together. 

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to work with the office team to provide financial support for the school budget, school fund, extended services and school trip processes.  

We are a small team who work well together and enjoy the different challenges each day brings. 

Salary: 
East Sussex Single Status Grade 11 - 13 
(£17,972 to £18,672 pro-rata 20 hours per week for 45 weeks per year).

Monday - Friday 1pm - 5pm (20 hpw) term time only, plus one week.

Due to a recent restructure process these hours are set and therefore non negotiable.

We are looking for someone who:

is a team player, but can also prioritise own workload.

has experience of FMS and Schoolcomms, although this is not essential as training can be provided.

has previous experience of working within a busy accounting environment

may be studying towards an AAT qualification.

is approachable, friendly and willing to make every minute count.

be meticulous with filing and recording of information giving regard to GDPR.

is able to undertake data input with attention to detail, using several school information systems.

can multitask and remain calm under pressure.

can accept each day is different and rarely goes according to plan.

Work Permits:

We may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
